Alma is an AI companion application that provides conversational interactions. The Service uses third-party AI providers to generate responses based on your input.

3. User Accounts

You may use Alma without creating an account. If you choose to create an account:

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account

4. API Keys

To use certain features, you may need to provide your own API keys from third-party AI providers (such as Groq, DeepSeek, OpenAI, Anthropic, or OpenRouter). You are responsible for:

• Obtaining API keys in compliance with each provider's terms of service
• Any charges incurred from your use of third-party APIs
• Keeping your API keys secure and confidential

Alma stores your API keys locally on your device and does not transmit them to our servers.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain premium features (such as Romance Mode) require a paid subscription. By subscribing:

• You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You can cancel your subscription at any time through PayPal
• Refunds are handled according to PayPal's refund policies

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Use automated means to access the Service without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service

7. Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the content you provide to Alma. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

The Alma name, logo, and related trademarks are our property. The Service's design, code, and features are protected by intellectual property laws.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee:

• That the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• The accuracy, reliability, or appropriateness of AI-generated responses
• That the Service will meet your specific requirements

Alma is an AI and not a substitute for professional advice. Do not rely on Alma for medical, legal, financial, or mental health advice. If you are in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
